Ahead of time: The life and times of Ruth Gruber Ahead of Time, a new documentary, tells the remarkable true story of Ruth Gruber. Born in Brooklyn in 1911, Gruber became the youngest person in the world (let alone woman) to earn a Ph.D degree; she did so at the age of 20 from the University of Cologne, where she majored in German Philosophy, Modern English Literature, and Art History.

What a fascinating idea: someone has set up a Twitter account under the name of MuseoLeaks and given the password out freely so that people can share museum information anonymously. This reminds me a little on a recent museum ‘scandal’ here in Austria concerning the Jewish Museum, Vienna. I am hoping to write a longer post about it soon, but the main gist is that the famous holograms...
